Australian Miniature Goat
Birthing Photo's
- Page 2

Page 1 | 3 | 4

We have provided some photo's to give you an idea of what you 'might'
expect to see during your doe's labour. As with most things about goat's however,
everyone is different.

We will continue to expand the examples on these pages as the girl's (and the photographer) permit!

Tail ligaments are gone at this time, approx 3 hours before birth.

Tail head has risen.
This is approx 20 minutes before birth

This doe had no discharge at any stage

In labour - about 30 minutes before birth

After about 20 minutes in labour, this doe wanted to come over and have her hand held. After this photo she came over to me and put her hoof out for me to hold as well. Reassured that she was not alone, she went back and the next photos show the next 5 minutes.

With one hard push her sac burst

You can see the first hoof appear

Both hooves now visible

Both hooves and the head just above them

and out comes the kid

Mum starts to clean the kid up

Mum continues to clean as the kid tries to stand

and falls down again.........
